Ill be honest here, I don’t believe this should be on the Top-10 best iPad apps list…I personally hate these ‘farm’ type games, always have and always will. If you feel the need to digitally explore, conquer, expand etc…then go invest your time and dignity into a respectable release. For instance: the “Civilization”, “Total War” or “Age of Empires” series…not this crap. That being said; this title is very popular on both the iPhone and iPad and gets a lot of praise, for reasons still unknown to me…you be the judge.

Twitterrific

First off, this is a very nice looking application, visually appealing, function-able, clean and efficient. I’d go as far as to say the best twitter-related app to date in my opinion. Twitterrific also offers support for multimedia, allowing the ability for users to tweet pictures and video. Other features currently include filters, retweets, link shortening, e-mail and tweet translation.

WeatherBug Elite

They say the “WeatherBug” network is the largest weather network in the world, after seeing this application in action…I believe them without requiring much more convincing beyond this point. With very little effort, you are literally given access to all of planet Earth’s current weather information at your fingertips. There is not much more I can add here, its simply amazing & is a must-have iPad application.

AIM: AOL Instant Messenger

Beyond the obvious capability (allowing you to chat with other AIM users) it also allows you to chat with Facebook users as well as pull in updates from other various social networks. you are able to view active chats, current conversations and online friends all within the same screen.

Pandora Radio

A cool, free, personalized radio allowing you to stream music on your iPad. Start by typing names of your favorite songs or artists and Pandora will do the rest, it will build you your own personal station that will play what you want to hear, get it, use it, love it.

iBooks

This is more than just a great Ebook-reader, it writes the book on Ebook reading. I love the bookshelf, flip it around to reveal the book store giving you access to thousands of Ebooks, many of them free. Its so well designed its seems just like the real thing, once in a while you will even forget you holding the iPad in your hands, they did a very good job here, a beautiful app.

Bento

Redesigned specifically for the iPad, enhanced features, split-screen view capabilities, all of the functions that comes with the iPhone version and more. You will find pretty much everything you could ever need in a personal data-management solution, utterly awesome.

Yahoo Entertainment

What a great way to pass the time! An interactive program guide feature allows you to to plan you viewing schedules & highlights your favorite programs. View sports, news, finance, entertainment, business & more. Another one of those visually-stunning apps, a lot of work went into this beauty and it shows, where have you been all my life?

Netflix

Why did I list 2 media-oriented apps back to back? Because I can’t decide between the two..there both terrific, but in their own unique ways. This one does require a subscriptions but also gives you access to full movies, TV shows and other types of usually restricted media. All and all, well worth the investment.

Keynote

Another application designed by Apple specifically for the iPad. Keynote does a terrific job of helping you make the most out of your presentations. Design with the help of built-in dazzling themes, transitions, tables, charts, animations and much more. This app also offers very intuitive touch controls that allow any user to increase productivity on multiple levels. Its #1 on our list of Top-10 iPad apps because this is what I envisioned when I first heard about the iPad, the ability to share stunning presentations with others in the business world wherever, whenever.

On this day in the year Two Thousand and Five the website YouTube was founded. YouTube has been wildly successful since it’s inception and is today one of the most successful and highest traffic websites on the internet. In honor if this significant anniversary, I’ve put together a list of some of my very favourite YouTube clips for your enjoyment.

David Firth’s cartoon “Salad Fingers” is quite possibly one of the strangest things ever created. The first episode, Spoons, introduces the viewer to his very offbeat sense of humor.

Queen of the Internet Felicia Day created The Guild in an effort to deal with her World of Warcraft addition and to do something with her time between acting jobs.

After waking up from his trip to the dentist, David found his father recording the after effects of his anesthesia for our amusement.

Chad Vader would later parody David’s dental recovery experience in his video response.

Tay Zonday rose to international internet stardom with his hit song Chocolate Rain in 2007.

Tay would later go on to create a much more professionally produced follow up titled Cherry Chocolate Rain to coincide with the new Cherry Chocolate flavor of Doctor Pepper:

One of the funniest things about YouTube is you occasionally stumble upon a hidden gem. While I am no fan of Katy Perry, I heartily enjoy the Los Colorados cover of her song Hot ‘n’ Cold:

YouTube is also frequently used to catalogue our most miserable of failures, and public humiliations. This unfortunate individual decided to propose to his girlfriend in a very public manner and ultimately failed.

Earlier today I was discussing with friends how much traffic on the internet is related to cats. I’m betting it’s a significant percentage. Here are some of my favorite cat videos:

Parry Gripp, former frontman of Nerf Herder, is also a fan of the internet and I could assume broccoli kitty, as his ballad “Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom” would indicate.
