Yup, recklessly shoving has been a tactic used by fishes around the World since the beginning of Poker (and before the moniker “fishes”). Somewhere between 2008 and 2009 a new form of this fishy maneuver came into serious professional play, called the ‘value shove’. Well, one can’t pinpoint exactly where or when it originated. One could argue that it’s been around for decades, and it probably has. I’m referring to the increased frequency of the move in recent years and why it’s so effective.
