Is everyone ready for the onslaught of pretentious Apple electronics and the according media frenzy that will relentlessly bombard every waking moment of your life? I AM!
The iPad is set to launch first thing tomorrow, and if you haven’t already spent your entire bankroll trying to order one from the fat-sweaty-hands of an American on ebay, then you should be pretty pumped to be first in line to get one.
Being totally honest, I love Apple products but I just can’t jump on a band-wagon without logical reason.
The only piece of technology I really want (not need) is an additional screen at home so I can multitask a little easier with my MacBook. A new LCD monitor would do the trick, but if the iPad can do it while offering up everything else it can do…My interest might be piqued. I’d love to be able to leave my laptop at home while I take day and weekend trips. I usually only need my laptop to check email and surf around.
There have been a few attempts at making the iPad a wireless second screen. iDisplay the another crapier app tried to make this happen, but doesn’t really work up to snuff. In the last few days Air Display was launched and – from the reviews read – does a fantastic job!
It’s not meant for gaming or viewing videos, but as an extension of your desktop; for documents, pdfs, pallets, msn, email, widgets…etc.
Ironic how this is the one function that was talked about the most before the US launch, yet Apple didn’t see fit to include it. For $10 usd, you can’t really go wrong.
